Wedding Venue Spotlight | 5 MORE Fantastic Wedding Venues in the Chicago Suburbs

Alright you lovebirds, this one’s for you. Last week I put the spotlight on 5 of my favorite venues in the Chicago Suburbs. Today I’ve got 5 more amazing wedding venues to share! Give these spots a look if you’re recently engaged!!! Also give me a call because we’ve got some engagement photos to take, girlfriend.

DANADA HOUSE in wheaton

Guys. This is one of my most favorite places to photograph a wedding day. I LOVE it. For many reasons. There are countless, beautiful spots for portraits. This venue has multiple gardens & green spaces in addition to multiple rooms inside that get fantastic natural light… basically a photographers dream come true, & maybe yours, too. Upstairs there are rooms for everyone to get ready & hangout pre-ceremony. There are two main outdoor ceremony areas to choose from & the atrium is a great rain plan option. This venue is prefect if you dream of elegant ambiance with gorgeous gardens for your wedding. Check out their website for more info!

Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn

Ok, I know I just gushed about Danada House BUT Heritage Prairie Farm is maybe my favorite venue. Like ever. I honestly would have loved to be married here but it was tragically out of our price range. No regrets though! I loved our wedding at Creek Bend Nature Center. Just goes to show, there is a perfect venue for every budget.

Some reasons why I love Heritage Prairie farm…. the food – it’s always incredible. Being a farm, they find ways to incorporate their micro-greens & more into the menu. Here, you won’t have the option to bring in your own catering BUT that really isn’t a con, its a pro. Another pro is that your entire day from start to finish can happen here. Your wedding day goes by so fast (just like they say) so it can be a huge asset to cut down on travel time & have everything happen in one place. HPF has a farmhouse with separate areas for getting ready, there are multiple options for ceremony site, cocktail hour can take place in the barn or the yard next to the tent, then you can eat, drink, & dance the night away in the reception tent! AND there are plenty of spots for portraits. No need to factor in travel time or more details for guests to remember. Plus, the team here can’t be beat – they are consistently fun to work with & always on their game. Learn more here.

fishermens inn in elburn

Another venue that offers so many great locations for portraits! Are you sensing a theme here? Naturally the photographer would favor venues with fabulous portrait locations galore. There is a lot to love at this venue. Fishermens Inn can accommodate a large guest list. There are several outdoor spaces for photos & the ceremony – but in case of rain – there is also a lovely room inside with floor to ceiling windows. The patio & bar outside is often used for cocktail hour when weather permits. This is also a great options for couples who want everything to take place in one location. There is plenty of room for getting ready, reception, & everything in-between. Explore their wedding options here.

Hotel baker in St. Charles

This hotel has long been a classic & elegant wedding venue, but it became even more noteworthy when Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg tied the knot here in 2014. Located right along the Fox River, this venue includes an English-style garden that is perfect for cocktail hour & a ceremony spot overlooking the water. The reception hall is super unique, with a balcony level & light-up dance floor, it’s something very special. Many newlyweds opt to spend their wedding night in the penthouse suite complete with rooftop hot tub! Did I just say the magic words? Time to explore the website.

two brothers Roundhouse in Aurora

With large banquet rooms, a beautiful outdoor courtyard & gazebo, a two-story tavern bar & multiple private rooms, you can see why this venue makes the list. If you’re a craft beer lover – this would be perfect! Two Brothers Artisan Brewing is in the house… the roundhouse… sorry, I had to. Please forgive my dad jokes & hear me out. You’ve probably seen couples have a unity candle ceremony before or after their vows. Well how about we replace that candle with beer! That’s right folks. You can incorporate beer into your marriage ceremony. You & your beloved pour two different beers into one glass & take some romantic sips. Then you live happily ever after. Yay! But even if you’re more of a wine or whiskey couple, this is still a great venue. The courtyard is beautiful, there’s a ton of room for all your favorite people, & the after party spot is just a few yards away! Check out the details here.

I know first-hand that venue hunting can be grueling work & doesn’t always feel very fun. BUT, the perfect venue for your wedding is out there & it is worth the effort to consider your options. I hope these recommendations help get you started! Most importantly… CONGRATULATIONS! You’re getting married & I am so happy for you.
