After tying the knot last year in a intimate, backyard ceremony - these two were finally able to have a big celebration with their family & friends! This day was so prefect & totally worth the wait!
It was beautiful to see the small group gather in support of this couple. Amy & Josh are each so kind-hearted – together I know they will build a life full of love & support for one another. This wedding day was so honest & lovely. I can’t wait to photograph the big party next year!

I’ve been a bit MIA lately because… I took a little vacation! Plane travel and crowds are out (Covid), but road trips and camping are in! A few friends and I went up to northern Minnesota for some much needed time in the wilderness. Activities included canoeing, swimming, napping, reading, drinking, and lots of scenery […]

Hey friends! We’re back! Last week was so busy for me, I just needed a break. And that’s ok. We all need to rest sometimes and rest is so important! In case you need to hear it (like I did last Sunday), it’s ok to rest, it’s good to rest. Despite my demanding week, I […]

One of the best parts of this work is when I get to work with people again & photograph their milestones through the years. I’ve known Lisa since college! I’ve photographed engagement photos for these two, maternity photos when they were expecting, & now multiple family photos as their little one has grown! It is […]

Hello friends! What a fabulous week. Some dear friends of mine got married this week! We gathered in a spacious backyard to celebrate & it made my heart so happy to be with my girls. There is a lot of downside to this pandemic, but one upside has been making more time to connect with […]

Happy Sunday my friends! This week had a lot of goodness. I turned 29 years old. I spent some time reading outside with my husband in my favorite place. I made JAM for the first time & then of course used that jam in some raspberry crumb bars. So. Good. AND I was able to […]

We had so much fun at this family session in the park! This happy little guy recently turned one and already he is full of personality. He’s a big fan of squirrels and running away from the camera! Luckily his mom and dad are good at catching up with him and we captured so many […]

Dear friends, how are we doing? Melting? Me, too. But that’s ok, I’ve got some really good things to share with you this Sunday. As always, I invite you to take what you need and have a lovely week. When the future is unclear all we can do is the next right thing. That’s right […]

It’s July 3rd and summer is in full effect! If you’re in Chicagoland like me – you know it is HOT! Despite the fact that I’m melting, I really am a big fan of summer. I’ve always especially loved going to the beach, summer art shows, swimming as much as possible, and wearing dresses every day! […]

Hey friends! Happy Sunday! What’s the 411? Does anyone say that anymore? Am I an old woman trapped in a soon-to-be 29-year-old body? Probably. Definitely. But still, I want to know how you’re all doing. Let me know in the comments. This pandemic is still happening, and we gotta check on each other. Hopefully you […]

It’s hard to know where to start. This week has been horrific domino after domino – culminating in the unrest of so many cities across the country this weekend. Unfortunately it’s nothing new and that’s the problem. The events of this week reflect the long-standing systemic injustices that still exist for black people in America. […]
